The Museum presents in this area the major developments of CTBC over the years, including the Group’s growth from a small company of 19 people to a multinational financial group with over 25,000 employees, the issuance of the first credit cards in Taiwan, and the installation of the first ATMs in convenience stores. Daily financial services for people and CTBC’s growth footprints and innovative services are merged to convey the Group’s unceasing dedication to customer service and its brand spirit of “We are family.”
This area displays the personal items of CTBC Holding founder Mr. Jeffrey L.S. Koo, including valuable manuscripts and his office stationery. Commemorative medals and photographs with political dignitaries from countries across the world are testament to the warm reception accorded to Taiwan’s foremost ambassador-at-large for his efforts to strengthen Taiwan’s diplomatic standing through trade and economic means. A lively projection using 3D holographic technology was created to portray Mr. Koo’s philosophy in his advocacy for Taiwan's diplomatic rights
Over the last half century, CTBC moved its headquarters five times and each move symbolized a milestone of the Group. Our eastward development can be seen in the transparent scale model of Taipei’s cityscape. The four miniatures of past headquarters, along with key economic data, testify to the intertwined development of CTBC and the economic growth of Taiwan.
In this interactive multimedia gallery rich with sound and light, you can hop on a scooter and join the “Vespa Team!” The Vespa will take you on a wonderful journey through time as you learn about CTBC history, from its founding in 1966 to its present status as a multinational financial group.
At CTBC, employees are our most treasured assets . In this gallery, you will learn about the major events and the managers who made the most important contributions in CTBC’s history. You can also search for the name of a retired employee. Each story is told to express CTBC’s gratitude to our many valuable employees and to pass on their legacy.
In a room that accommodates 30 people, visitors can watch videos they select from the database that contains CTBC’s introduction, TV commercials, and video/audio materials used in the Group’s efforts to promote charity, art and culture, sports, education, and anti-drug awareness. Viewers will learn of CTBC’s hard work and dedication to corporate social responsibility.
